we're family, in our own ways
the laughters
the jokes
the anecdotes of our youths
the tempers
the tears
the banters
the witty come-backs
the flares
the long walks
the sumptuous meals
the simple meals
the everything that criss-crossed our lives
we treasure it all in our hearts
till our dying days
so that our children and our children's children
will know someday
that this family we form
did live our lives
and did share our lives
unconditionally amongst us all
because we're a family of friends
